A Few Thoughts On Shoes

{February 21, 2008}   Cool Blog

So, in my quest to keep up on the progress of Deckers Flip Flops www.deckersflipflops.com , I periodically search the brand and see who’s saying what.  I searched them today and noticed this blog entry.  I thougth it was interesting that Teva was made by the same company as Simple (awesome eco-shoes), and that this company is Deckers.  (The great folks that made my favorite flip flops.)  Check out their blog at http://greenmadesimple.blogspot.com/2008/02/green-shoes.html.  Enjoy

{February 18, 2008}   A Worthy Email

So…I am perhaps the biggest skeptic when it comes to email signups.  I don’t want to get spammed ever 8 hours to buy somthing.  I don’t like how hard it usually is to get unsubscribed once you’ve subscribed to a spam artist by accident.  This being said, I gave it a go with my favorite flip flop company and haven’t been disappointed yet.  Relavant emails and great info about a fabulous brand.  Deckers Flip Flops are getting set to launch and they are building an email list of future Flipfloppers.  (Yes, that’s a word)  Deckers makes a fabulous product and I for one am hoping they’ll send me a coupon code to use when they launch.  Being part of an email list isn’t so bad, so give it a shot.  And if you just can’t do it…promise me you’ll get on there once they relaunch and order a pair of these fabulicious (also a word) flip flops.  So go to www.deckersflipflops.com and pick out somthing pretty.  What are you waiting for….You won’t be disappointed.  One girly’s opinion for whatever it’s worth.

{December 17, 2007}   The Greenest Little Shoe Company

I discovered Simple Shoes when my best friend found a pair at our local goodwill.  They were really different.  I went online to learn more and found out…oh so much more about this incredibly cool company.  They make sustainable shoes using recycled, renewable, and biodegradable materials!  SO AWESOME.  Their website, www.simpleshoes.com is the best place to learn about them.  So I will close by saying…check them out.  They even have shoes made from recycled soda bottles and car tires!  Simple is really walking the walk!

{December 17, 2007}   Decker’s Flip Flops

Let’s talk about flip flops.  Why don’t consumers pay more than $25for flip flops?  I think I know why.  They wear out.  They last 1 summer if you’re lucky and you retire them.  Most of them are junk anyway.  However, I have found the solution!  I have a good story for you.  I was 7 months pregnant when I “adopted” my husbands Deckers Flip Flops.  They were sooooo comfortable, and stable on my fat-flat feet and I lived in them until term.  My feet were so unhappy in all my flips, but his…oh my.  So now, my feet haven’t quite returned to their normal size, so my husband is complaining about not having access to his flips.  I decided that it was time I get my own pair so I went online to www.deckersflipflops.com and found out that they don’t have any flips right now!!!  Imagine my sadness, however, upon reading on I discovered that they are just starting the company back up after a lull of about 10 years and they will have new flip flops soon.  So ladies….and gents….check this company out.  My husband informed me that he’s owned these flip flops since the late 80’s and I was absolutely shocked.  They are still in GREAT condition!  And the best part….they have a lifetime guaranty, so if anything, anything ever breaks on them, you can send them in for a new pair.  I’ve never heard of a flip like that.  I’m sold and happy to spend a little more for all the comfort and support, not to mention a lifelong companion.  More soon…
